About the artist
Patrick Ohpark is one of the owners and lead SMP artist at Dew Skinbar. Born and raised in Orange County outside Los Angeles, Patrick spent most of his career in the food & beverage field amassing award winning trucks and restaurants in the east coast.
How did you get into SMP?
In 2020 after covid disrupted the industry and a move to Phoenix, I discovered scalp micropigmentation and became fascinated with this amazing art form. After learning from some of the best in the industry and a wife with almost a decade in skin care, I knew I had found my new passion and calling and am now committed to helping people feel their best and changing their lives one dot at a time.
What do you most enjoy about your work?
When you're spending 3 or so hours with a client per session you get to know each other fairly quickly and my interactions with each and every one are the highlights of what I do. The different nuances of each case keep my attention with the technical aspect but I love getting to know each personality who sits in my chair and it makes for a great time.
Top 3 favorite products?
FYT round liner needles (the sharpest needles to give the cleanest impressions), Ink Soap (all natural ingredients and won't dry out the skin), FollicuIe Ink Black (specially made for scalp and also contains natural ingredients that help minimize redness and swelling)
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Playing golf, traveling, drinking aged whiskey and spending quality time with my beautiful wife/ business partner and our 3 canine babies.
